Are you Ready to Join Micron? Micron Technology Virginia is seeking an Equipment Supervisor to support the advancement and continual development of the Manassas site campus. Become a part of a dedicated projects team to provide high-quality engineering services and leadership while supporting a company culture of Safety, Innovation, and Customer Focus.

As an Equipment Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

EHSS Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with all Safety work standards for the site, as well as local area requirements

  • Follows and holds team accountable to all standards of operation relative to Safety: Following and enhancement of procedures, MSDS, LOTO, JHA, PPE, Good Catch Program, Evacuation and muster station support, near miss, and HazOps

Leadership

  • Drive area line of sight (LOS) goals, area metrics, and other continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, 6S, AVAIL, TLD, LTD, Alarm reduction, First Qual pass, SMEDs etc.)

  • Engages in conflict management and resolution in a timely manner

  • Succession planning, develop, mentor and coach team members

  • Maintains training, shift readiness, and proficiency compliance of yourself and your team. Zero Expired LI’s and EDM Inbox items.

  • Be an ardent supporter of TPM initiatives/ goals and teams. Drive down the concepts and active participation in your team.

Operational Performance

  • Supervises WIP scheduler to ensure we meet ship pace requirements

  • Tactically handles the number of down tools and downtime budget every shift while looking for opportunities to drive and improve Safety, WASTE, and effective tool recoveries to hit AVAIL targets

  • Drive and sustain TPM integrity through 6S, m-tags, and CIP execution. Perform daily and weekly walks/ spot checks for compliance to standards and coach team members on the Automotive Quality Mindset (AQM).

  • Sustains PM performance by working towards G2G, qual time, First Qual pass, and other performance to plan metric goals

  • Monitors and reacts to quality metrics such as scrap, CQDR, RQDR, broken wafers, and TLD with QDR (S/CQDR impacts) as well as equipment alarms and recurring failures

  • Tactically monitors R and M spending and helps control and raise as needed

  • Participates in and contributes to systematic problem-solving sessions as well as CIP projects Monitors Engineering Performance

  • Writes concise process-related ECNs, when appropriate. Keeps up to date on and helps communicate area changes.

  • Analyzes metrology, RDA, inline, probe, and/or param data to understand process issues and help advance and/or resolve them

  • Evaluation, revision, and implementation of continuous improvement of PMQ, qual strategies, and reaction mechanisms for SPC OOC, FD, R2R, and other control plans

  • Creates, implements, and effectively analyzes the Design of Experiments

  • Makes decisions based on statistical analysis of DTS, SPC, FDC, R2R, equipment logs, and other relevant engineering data

  • Facilitates systematic methods such as KT, 5 Why, and full 8D processes

Schedule Flexibility: Be flexible to work any shift to support department or business needs, to participate, drive and support Continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ Years of equipment work experience in the semiconductors field and knowledge of Dry Etch tools and processes and having Dry Etch experience.

  • Successful candidate should currently be a Senior Technician (T3 or above) or an Engineer.

  • 2+ years of Prior leadership experience in fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing.
