As a Global Warehouse Sr. Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of Micron’s Global Factory Automation Team and will be responsible for establishing Global Warehousing best practices and leading their adoption and implementation throughout the global network of manufacturing sites.
Your objective is to drive world-class warehouse performance within Micron’s Front End manufacturing sites by implementation automated warehouse capabilities, streamlining warehouse software management systems, aligning Best Known Methods (BKMs), and establishing globally aligned metrics.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight and direction for global warehousing operations, including network planning, optimization, and performance improvement.
Lead a geographically dispersed warehousing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance across diverse locations.
Develop and implement global warehousing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Production, Finance) to understand and meet customer needs, optimize inventory levels, and minimize stockouts.
Oversee implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other technology solutions to maximize efficiency and data-driven decision making.
Manage and develop the global warehousing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic objectives.
Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of local warehousing operations, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring adherence to service level agreements and performance standards.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in warehousing operations, focusing on areas like safety, efficiency, and cost optimization.
Travel globally to visit regional warehousing facilities and meet with local teams.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
10 Years of recent leadership experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
Ability to manage a complex and fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving results.
Fluent in English both verbal and written.
Must be willing to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing warehouse teams in a global environment.
Demonstrated expertise in warehouse processes, inventory control, and best practices in semiconductor logistics.
Strong understanding of warehouse automation and WMS technology.
Experience with international trade regulations and customs compliance.
