We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Systems Project Engineer to join our Global Construction Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of multiple semiconductor construction projects worldwide. You will provide technical expertise, oversight, and collaboration to ensure the smooth functioning of Local Construction Teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Global Focus:

  • Partner with Local Construction Teams on assigned semiconductor projects, providing technical mentorship and expertise on mechanical systems.

  • Review and approve local mechanical system designs, ensuring compliance with global standards and project specifications.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential mechanical system issues.

  • Manage project budgets and timelines for mechanical systems, collaborating with the Global Project Controls team.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer between Local Construction Teams, encouraging standard processes and innovation in mechanical systems implementation.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal collaborators (engineering, procurement, operations) and external vendors.

  • Travel periodically to project sites for on-site inspections and teamwork.

  • Local Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Local Construction Teams, providing mentorship and support on the technical aspects of mechanical systems.

  • Identify and address any challenges faced by Local Construction Teams regarding mechanical systems.

  • Ensure effective communication between the Global Construction Team and Local Construction Teams.

  • Participate in local project meetings, providing technical guidance and decision-making support.

Delineation Between Global and Local Roles:

  • Global Project Engineer: Provides strategic direction, technical expertise, and oversight on mechanical systems across all projects. Ensures consistency and alignment to global standards.

  • Local Project Engineer: Manages the day-to-day execution of mechanical systems within a specific project. Implements global strategies and adapts them to local requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

2-10+ years of experience with Mechanical Systems, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech construction industry.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management , Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
