As a Lead Principal Engineer, you will be a technical and a peoples’ leader in a revolutionary Advanced DRAM research & development High Aspect Ratio dry etch team. As a leader, you would be managing critical High Aspect ratio etch driven modules, leading high aspect ratio etches strategic meetings, build process roadmaps for current technode, work in close collaboration with equipment team, guide capital strategy, create cost reduction efforts and help build equipment roadmap for current and future technology. You would be engaging with suppliers to develop the processes and equipment needed to meet Micron’s technology roadmap for advanced DRAM nodes. You will work closely with the other Process Development areas, Device Engineering, Process Integration, Operations, and Planning to develop robust processes and prepare for pilot ramp and transfer. You will be expected to participate in the worldwide equipment and alignment team for you process area.
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
o Lead efforts and setting the strategy for developing process technology for assigned products in Process R&D.
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of process development experience at Micron or equivalent experience at another company, or experience in a people leadership role at an R&D or high-volume manufacturing site.
In-depth knowledge of Plasma Dry Etch Technology.
Knowledge and experience in high aspect ratio etch development.
Demonstration of collaborative ways of problem solving.
Understand hard mask requirements based off material properties.
Strong relationship building skills, both with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated structured problem-solving capabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation).
Experience in being a mentor to manage the performance of direct reports
Ability to seek opportunities for continuous improvement, as a team member, leader and for the organization
Education:
PhD or M.S in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, plus 5 years or greater in the semiconductor industry or
B.S. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
