We are currently seeking a System Characterization DRAM Engineer!

This team member will be working closely with system platform enablers to enable Micron on next-generation system platforms. This role is focused on early system enablement, characterization, debugging as well as knowledge of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers. You will be encouraged to participate in all phases of system development and understand how DRAM is being utilized to support the System Compatibility Group’s activities and Micron's customers.

Your day-to-day functions include engaging with other Micron engineers and technicians from groups including Production Engineering, Test Solutions Engineering, Global Quality, System Enablers and sometimes connecting with external customers. We work with other specialists and management within the Compute Design Engineering Group as well as other individuals from other departments throughout Micron.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Leading technical engagement with system enablers outside of Micron

  • Configure and debug system-level hardware and peripherals

  • Characterize low level DRAM usages and drive collaboration across functional groups to improve performance in system

  • Correlate and effectively communicate findings from system characterization to various groups across Micron

  • Develop new methodologies to characterize DRAM in system to ensure Micron is best in class in system performance

  • Crafting custom tools and presenting data to customers both inside and outside of Micron

  • Support FA and system analysis for DRAM compatibility lab

What skills we want to see:

  • BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or greater

  • C/C++, Linux, Python

  • Computer system experience (server or client)

  • Excellent analysis, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Self motivated and enthusiastic

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong DRAM and system memory background and understanding

  • Experience with embedded programming in C

  • Experience with ARM/x86 processors

  • Familiarity with logic and protocol analyzers and high speed oscilloscopes

*The seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.
