We are looking for a Layout Designer in our DRAM and Emerging memory Group at Micron Technology,. This team member will be responsible for creating physical layout of transistors, resistors, and capacitors for digital and analog circuits used in the development of memory products. This includes building layout that meets the process rules and verifying that it matches the schematic. In addition, layout designers work on floor planning, routing, and power bus design. In this position you will work and support the efforts of groups such as Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Integration, Probe, and Assembly to proactively design products that optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.

*This will be a hybrid position located in Atlanta, GA

*The seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Responsible for design and development of analog layouts used in DRAM chips.

  • Perform layout verification like LVS/DRC/EM, quality check and documentation.

  • Responsible for timely delivery of block-level layouts with acceptable quality.

  • Demonstrate leadership Skill in planning, area/time estimation, scheduling, delegation and execution to meet project schedule/landmarks in multiple project environment.

  • Lead junior team-members in their execution of Sub block-level layouts & review their work.

  • Contribute to effective project-management and technical innovation

  • Plan and detail your layout, presenting material for global teams to review

  • Optimally connect with engineering teams in the India, Japan and US and other global teams to assure the success of the layout project.

How To Qualify:

  • Either AS degree with 5+ years of work experience and/or Certification in an IC Design Program, or BSEE degree with 3+ years of work experience Course work in CMOS Circuit Design and VLSI

  • Course work that included creating physical layout of circuits

  • Knowledge and experience using Cadence Virtuoso

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic standout colleague who enjoys working with others

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Drive innovation into the future Memory generation with dynamic work environment.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Knowledge of layout synthesis and place and route techniques

  • Experience with LVS and DRC tools such as Calibre

  • Standard cell construction and analog layout techniques

  • 1+ years of work experience in layout automation
